Reliance Jio Infocomm start 4G in Mumbai

Reliance Jio Infocomm part of Reliance network has decided that their 4G services would start from firstly being launched in Mumbai. The company has got permission for the installation of towers and it has already started.

There will be high mast towers which will be installed, and for starters there will be around 160 towers which would be installed. The towers will have two purposes one for the network of celluar service and the other would be for street lighting. If for some reason if there is already a NMMC street pole installed, that would be removed with the new mast tower. In order to launch the 4G service asap, there will be a lease of 8,000 4G towers in Mumbai.

Seeing the competition is close, I would have thought that Reliance would follow up right behind Airtel to launch their 4G services. Although I dont have Airtel 4G where I live, think I would just have to wait for Reliance 4G now. Ive seen some towers installed and heard they are for 4G, but nothing is confirmed whether they are for Reliance 4G or not.

A slight correction: Reliance will not only be launching their 4G services in Mumbai but also Delhi. Towers have been installed in both Delhi and Mumbai.

Im a bit confused with the name of 4G services provided by Reliance, is Reliance 4G or Reliance Jio Infocomm?
