Default Airtel Offers free 4G dongles for free

Airtel has now pushed its 4G uptake and is offering 4G dongles for free.
To perform better than the rest and take its lead in India with 4G services Airtel has begun to offer 4G dongles with their breakfree plans. Airtel is wanting to make its mark with 4G and doesn't want lag behind in anything, and this sudden offer is just prior to the launch of the Reliance Jio Infocomm 4G services.
First it was reduced rates in their 4G plans which started from Rs450, then it was the discounted rates of their dongles to Rs1500 and now the next step offering free 4G dongles to their customers.

Its a deperate move by Airtel. They have capped their speeds, and are offering free 4G dongles, how exactly will that bring in more customers?

It is not just because of Reliance, Government announced 100% FDI in Telecom sector which would bring in lots of competetion in future.

Airtel are now trying whatever they can to keep their customers and get new customers before 4G services are launched by other telecom companies.

Airtel is behaving like its an end of season sale and they are getting rid of stock or even saying here buy one get one free. Whatever it maybe but it will attract new customers.

Airtel seems to be focusing on the cost of the dongle and not the wifi router which they also provide. I think they should also think about giving that at a lower cost as well.
