TP-Link TD-W8970 with ACT Broadband connection

Hello Sir

I am from Bangalore. I am moving to ACT connection (plan : ACT Blaze). Till now I am using (BSNL) ADSL router (TP-Link TD-W8970). This router has on the back side 4 RJ45 LAN ports. LAN#4 is marked as LAN4/WAN. I would assume that I don't require to buy another router. I believe ACT end terminates finally to RJ45 and that I could connect to LAN4/WAN port of my TP Link router. Is that correct ?
Do we require to configure the router for this ? Can you please tell me whether I could use this router and how to configure it ; thanks a lot

You can use TP-Link TD-W8970 with a cable broadband connection (ACT broadband connection in your case) as this modem has an option built in for this to be used as a wireless router only. On the settings page you need to scroll down right to the bottom to see that option and you need to turn on the "wireless router" mode on.

Once you have done that you would need to enter the IP and subnet as provided by your broadband provider and you should be good.
