Thread: Using Aircel 3G Services.... MDMA Screenshots provided.

hey all

Today i recharged with a Pocket Internet Card of Rs 14 and was browsing with it on my mobile... suddenly while a network scan on my Dad's Nokia 7230 i saw Aircel under 3G coverage.. so the very next moment i inserted the sim card in my UMG 1831 and connected it to pc... at first it was not getting any 3G coverage via Mobile Partner... but after that i tried with mdma... and set the mode to 3G only and i was shocked to see my datacard getting registered with the Aircel 3G network... then i tried my luck again and set the APN to the usual aircelweb and clicked on connect... and thats it.. it got connected.... with a Negotiated Qos of 8 Mbps..... got arnd 512kbps on Speed test... forgot to save the speed test link but here are the MDMA Screenshots....

PS : but the only thing is that if i disconnect it once then it does not receive any signal there onwards... neither EDGE nor 3G..... i have to put back the sim back to my phone and then again remove it and put into my datacard and then it works again....

when they are going to launch it ? and is there any chance of UL plans like bsnl 3g?

Aircel Lanched 3G in Some places Across India...

Coverage is not Good..!!! Currently Only reliance had covered approximately all area of Kolkata and Probably India..!!

4 telecom company launced 3G in kolkata
1.BSNL(specially covered the area of their telephone exchanges)
2.RELIANCE (Vey Good Coverage)
3.VODAFONE(Good Coverage)
4.AIRCEL(Worst)

Unfortunataly Both Reliance and Vodafone has no free tricks..!!!

It is quite surprising that they haven't yet started 3G services in Trivandrum.

AIRCEL 3G IS DEPLOYED RAPIDLY THROUGHOUT KOLKATA ..!!

Aircel 3G is deployed in Central Kolkata , Javadavpur , Garia (Upto Kamal -gachi)

Mominpur ,Alipur , New-Alipur , Taratalla ,Behala , Sakherbazar Tollygang Area.

Rasbehari , Gariyahat , Kasba and few Other Parts in a small time of 3 months.

Also Deployed in Salt lake and Rajarhat. and Hopefully get fully deployed in kolkata till end of this year..!!!

ON the other hand UNINOR , and AIRTEL are also planning to Deploy 3g Services in Kolkata.
