Thread: Rs. 98/- * internet.

Guys,

Aircel is providing a very nice offer at my place(hope the same is at yours too)
You can buy a lifetime sim of aircel for Rs.60/- and on which you will get Rs.10/- talktime,.
by recharging your phone with Rs.98/- you can browse the internet for whole month and theres no download charges for anything.

the speed is however slower than that of Idea, Airtel etc cause of network congestion(aircel running on leased towers for now)
but 98/-(not even 100) minds alot..
email checking and chatting is nicely executed. downloaded a 13mb soft in 25 mins:8: thats impressive at this cost...

i was thinking of installing a rooter at my home, and all that, but for now i am doing this.. i will be going to delhi in mid july, anyone who knows of the roaming and facilities (gprs and unlimited browsing in delhi) please reply, as i will be there...

This 98 rs internet can be used from PC or just in phone ..?

yeah latency is a problem..

today i second day on aircel internet and the expericence was worst.. sometimes i felt like, it doesnt provide internet at all.. the dial up was not working..

all through the day i was trying to dial up but i failed,,,.speed was slow like hell..

i saw network bars just at 1 or 2 . and when i dialed up sometimes it even show message like service not enabled on this network, this means Aircel's edge is immature as of now.. but i am waiting for the servers to do really very well..

heard that aircel's isp is dishnet..and dishnet is not good if i know..

guys i was wondering how to work so that the network speeds increase and finally i got this...

no need to worry, just inititate continous ping on aircel's dns servers and it goes...

Today was the worst day of using aircels internet. The connection was very limited. For 10 to 20 seconds. I initiated continuous pings on their servers but didnt worked. Even idea wasnt working so i had to give up coming on ibf.hope tomoro it will be ok.

so 15 days and i switched back to Idea gprs net...(

Aircel internet is not able to log me in on ibf, through opera mini. Anyone else facing this?

What error are you getting. Did you try with some other browser?

I feel the network is not good. It doesnt work at all on any application. On pc it was working just for some mins than i got busy network.

Try after sometime, may be you will be able to access.

I use aircel internet on my pocket pc with opera mini. So far didn't face any issues like what you have mentioned. But on PC, yes it's worst. Today in the evening i faced the similar problem not on my phone but on my PC with the broadband.There must be some problem with the site(IBF) It continued for 5 minutes i tried to login from my mobile as well at the same time, but result was same. Did you tried other at that time? Aircel internet is good with phone only.

^^ Aircel's internet is not good even for phones...

the login time(to servers) is very much.. the E (edge sign) gets activated after 10-15 seconds...

maybe its the problem in my place.. first three days were the best experiences,,,but after that i am really sad..

latency is damn high!!

running aircel pocket internet 98 on samsung i780-fair surfing with speed of 30 kbps & unlimited download facility but phone call is difficult due to poor signal.

ya u r write.my place west bengal here same prblm but speed 5kb-20kb some time good.

Aircel is working better now..

no use on dis internet my frnd is only getting speed of 600bytes (not kb) downloading speed even orkut takes 3-4 mins to load on his pc

i am a bsnl user in bangalore, but have to come to mysore for my training,
i have taken aircel in vivekanda nagar and the speed is amazing, i am getting dowload speeds of 25kbps for torrents. i can hear tori (telugu one internet radio ) uninterrupted from my nokia internet radio, which never happened with airtel 89rs / 90mb download plan.

i am using it for last 4-5 month i download around 55 gb-- 47g download n 8gb upload aircel rocks and know what in my home network is poor so i put my n-78 in window i get 12-15kb/sec speed if i use idm then it goes upto 25-30

now i am planning to take micromax mmxg300 gsm modem so my n78 will be free

still don't have any issues with aircel internet and network issue, but in the google earth in my mobile it is showing my location as chennai some times. i have shared my location with my friends and they are asking me why did u go to chennai?
