Thread: Aircel - GPRS Worst Speed - Alternative Option

hi,

i am purchase Aircel SIM on November and they are activate my SIM after one month

i can't pay more then Rs.300/m so i am activate Aircel GPRS, but their speed is very very poor and slow.

Problems: 1. Auto Disconnect - Every 15 Seconds to 5 minutes.
2. Very Very Poor Speed, 0.200 Bites Per Second (i have poof)
3. if you're open any site then you need to wait at least 5 minutes to 20 minutes.
4. i am open Yahoo.com and after 1 hour aircel still open yahoo.com...

Aircel = Fraud, Scammers,etc....


Best Option is go With AirTel, Same Price, Better Upload Speed(Upto 71kbps), Download Speed is 3 - 4kbps(Poor but ok for Price)

Aircel GPRS was fast initially, but later they reduced their speed to a great extent, i think Aircel GPRS is not very good << so better to get GPRS of other companies, maybe Airtel, they provide 2GB for Rs 98, atleast they have fast speeds.

Same thing happened to me. Initially the speed was high, but later it sinked to very low speed. I tried to talk with the customer care, they registered a complaint and someone called me. After some time, he assured call again. Which never happened.

yup, it looks like as it was a new company, it gave high speed just to attract customers, but not now. It still has good network, but no good SMS plans.

GPRS is like dial-up (54 kbps). Don't expect miracles. It is OK for very light surfing on WAP sites and some basic email (text only).

Guys, i agree that aircel internet speed is low, but only in some areas.

But first of all you all r using GPRS which surprises me how u r complaining using a gprs. As jsut4kix said its like a dial-up modem if u r trying to use ur phone as modem then its the most foolish thing u r doing. It will obviously load pages after years and years. Its only good for mobile surfing. Atleast if you use EGDE you can browse.

Aircel used to give blazing fast speeds when it was newly launched. Used to get 8-9 kBps on a class 10 gprs phone. On EDGE class 32 it gave around 16 kBps average. Speeds plunged once the traffic grew (courtesy the Rs 98 plan). Speed is still good @ midnight till 9-10 am. I only use it for running torrents now.

the alternative option depends on which area u live in, and which phone u use

Hey iam getting more than 30kbps in every download.I am from kerala.Here i always get minimum of 25 kbps on every download.

Hey Guys Dont Say Thats Aircel Is Truley Poor Network As They Launched Their Services In Kerala Last Year I Had Also Faced The Problem Like You But Network Was Edge For Few Last Month Ago I Have Noticed That They Have Limited Their Data Usage For Every Plan At Last I Have Taken The Risk And Tried At That Time Now Im Getting Better Speed With Aircel Gpsrs My Speed Is Now 27kbps

well buddy, i am facing this problem since last year whenever i am going to my home town.. edge there stinks.. disconnects all night// and not just aircel, the docomo and everyone out there..
its a network problem. low signals = more disconnections..

i dont know what the guys who did 33 /- recharge for night time net on docomo do.. because in night i never got connected using a docomo..

Well in my case Aircel is giving better speed around 30 KBps(DL). Everyone in my locality is happy with aircel internet speed whether it's PC or mobile.

I have using aircel gprs since 2009 but there is some problem now with its speed so pls increase speed in hyderabad otherwise i will go for other network v santosh goud

but im from orrisa .sambalpur. And im getting a speed of 65-75 kbps continousely 24/7 .it rocks.

but my aircel speed is 65 to 75 kbps in orrisa with nokia 7230
