Default Aircel provides Free calls to all Jammu and Kashmir customers

The recent floods in Jammu and Kashmir have caused a lot of tragedy in the whole state and also across India. Aircel has come forward in aid of the floods and will be providing free calls to its postpaid and prepaid J&K customers for two days which are 10th and 11th September 2014. Which means free calls start from tomorrow.

Aircel have also provided network to the other mobile operators to help the people of J&K get in contact with their families and friends. Not only this Aircel have also installed mobile charging units and calling booths, so that stranded people can get in contact with family and friends.

Lets hope this initiative will help the people in Jammu and Kashmir.

It is bad what has happened, and a service provider which is not as popular has put this initiative together to help people is very good. Maybe this might be a good step for Aircel to become more popular.

Reliance is doing something similar as well, I think they are providing the first 2 minutes free to customers in Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian Railways has decided not to charge for transporting relief supplies to J&K. Indian side of the LOC is still better of with all the relief efforts going on but POK side of Kasmir is where people have been left to their fate.

    I hope water recedes quickly.

Other mobile service providers are following suit now, after Aircel introduced the free service, then Reliance and now BSNL.
