Thread: unable to connect laptop to nokia 5233(gprs) via bluetooth

well i bought my nokia 5233.
i have airtel sim in it.
for the first time when i connected through pc suite i was able to connect to internet via bluetooth.but that was the last time i was able to connect my laptop via bluetooth.the error showed was something like-"the modem may be in use or not configured properly"

then i installed the nokia ovi suite.this also shows the same error.
please tell me how to connect internet(gprs) through bluetooth

does the pcsuite shows your mobile in it, can you transfer images and other stuff while connected to pcsuite. If yes then whe you click on connect it shows a icon of settings ckick and select the modem as your 5233 and connection as Airtel india.

This happens sometimes when default modem port changes in pcsuite, if you connect through also.

first you can try to transfer a file then you try to connect again.

well i have a suggestion make usb cable connection with your pc and check also in internet connection manager of pc suite that your modem is your nokia phone or not..

if problems still persist, uninstall and reinstall...

for my suggestion, try using bluetooth PERSONAL ACCESSpoint Network OR PAN, which you will get in connect to internet (in internet connections)> connect PAN

even i own nokia 5233 and previously wen i was using my brothers lap i used to connect it through bluetooth eventhough i have a usb cable.. but suddenly from one day it started showin some error.. and then i just used usb cable and with that it worked...

recently i got my own lap dell xps and first time wen i tried to connect it with bluetooth it worked flawlessly.. and even now wen i try to connect my 5233 with the bro lap via bluetooth it fails... so i tot there must be some problems or failure in my bros bluetooth device in lap.. must be a connection or so.. so i asked him to check it.. and if u can also check ur lap for that with any technician do it and then check if it works..

P.S i sure know how irritatin it is to connect mobile to lap via USB cable. so good luck to get it fixed..
