Hi I would like to know when is Iphone 4s going to be available on airtel..

You can buy an unlocked iPhone 4S from the market and use it on Airtel network.

Latest rumor says iPhone4S coming to India on November 24th, but then its a rumor. In grey market iPhone4S unlocked is selling for around Rs65000. It works on Airtel.

Yesterday I visited an Airtel relationship centre to enquire regarding Internet plans for smart phones.
They told me for-
Blackberry - Prepaid Rs 399 pm (Mail + IM + Internet browsing)
- Postpaid Rs 599 pm (Mail + IM + Internet browsing)

I enquired regarding iPhone and other smart phones like Samsung Galaxy.
They told me that the regular plans like Rs 98 plan will work for these mobiles.
But Rs 98 plan will not work on Blackberry.

Is this information correct?? and why is this difference??? The Airtel executive was not able to explain it to me. Could someone plz share some info on this.

Rs. 65K? What a terrible waste!

I have converted to samsung recently when I found out about the specs the new iphone 4 s had and got a samsung galaxy s2 instead and it came for 31k and I believe is better value for money and its presense isint too bad either. Gone are the days when iphone was the only phone people wanted! Samsung has done an extremely good job with their new samsung galaxy s2.

bcoz they take connecting charges to connect ur number directly to RIM's server that lets u connect 24*7 to bb services. where as 98 plan is just a normal gprs plan.

Guys... Let me just mention the points that favor the release of 4s in November....

1. Our online apple catalogue is being updated... The only things left to be updated after the new iPods is the iPhone 4s ... Since the new iPods have already been updated the only product apple is yet to update is the IPHONE 4s
2. Apple has released iPhone 4s in 31 countries already ... Apple promised it would Start selling the iPhone 4s to another 70 countries by November 24... I strictly don't feel Indian markets are that bad for apple that v fall behind a 100 countries ...
3. A Times of Indian article publicist believes that iPhone 4s would arrive officially by nov 24...

All these factors favor an early release of d iPhone jus like d iPad 2... But in case apple lets us down, factory unlocked iPhones are now officially available in US itself from this month... They cost 650$ for the 16 gig version with warranty and all... That comes to around 33000rs... Check out the official apple online store US for further details... So DONT BUY THE GREY MARKET ones... They come at a premium price void warranty... So wait till november end to get ur hands on the iphone ... Or else ask ur friends or relatives who stay in US to send u a factory unlocked iPhone 4s... And check out the video posted in youtube by NDTV on its review for SIRI working on Indian accent in case u have doubts over its credentials.... So all in all fingers crossed for an iPhone 4s in November...

+1. I also purchased the S2 two weeks ago (the while model). Love it although I still think that 30K is a lot of waste of money. Then I thought, what the hell? The last costly phone I purchased was in 2005 in UK (XDA-IIi free against a year's subvscription in O2). So went ahead.
