Exclamation 2g speed in 3g plans

I have an Airtel Sim with 3g activated on it. I activated the rs. 9 3g data plan by sending 3g to 121. I am getting the 3g signals. But I am getting very low and pathetic speed of 2 kbps....

    Plz help...

Got the modem for Rs999, with 150 cash back every month for 12 months. Have gone for the 699 plan which gives 2 GB data download.

yea in a way, but the catch is you cant change your plan for 12 months and need to continue in the same offer . If you change your plan you will not get the cashback that's what they said.

not a big deal provided that you get a seamless uninterrupted service which seeing user's experiences, i think wont be possible.

Well majority of my usage will be at office, where my BSNL 3g signal is very low and it does not work. There airtel has full signal and speeds are good. Mostly i will be using it for checking emails as at office personal emails are blocked. Also some of my colleagues are using the same at work and getting 4 to 5 Mbps speeds. Also i have seen that Airtel 3g speeds are good but is dependent on certian locations and towers in Bangalore. At some places the service is excellent and at other poor based on connectivity and 3G tower availability.

I just unlocked my E1731 modem, so it is open to work with any providers. I may sell it off as i already have a K4505 which is giving good service from last one year.

They provide internet facility but all emails sites are blocked, you can't access gmail or yahoo or any other mail sites. Along with this there are other sites which are blocked and facebook also works with limited functionality.

So only for checking and surfing personal emails in my free time i have got this.
