Thread: msn/skype keeps disconnecting

i have weird problem, my connection the 384kbps unlimited works sweet ! great speeds and consistent !

but the msn messenger, and skype keep disconnecting every few minutes and sometimes every few seconds....i checked everything windows firewall, the norton firewall everything. Though I still don't understand what the firewall checking would solve, since it would never connect if it were a firewall issue...

i dont see any point in calling customer support about this, anyone who's ever dealt with customer support should know why it would be futile and waste of time..

anyone faced anything remotely this bizzare ?

I have same problem with yahoo and msn.

i only have this problem with skype n msn, mirc,i dont use yahoo. even while skype n msn disconnect my torrent downloads keep going strong

are you able to use your internet at the time of disconnection??

i hav the problem with msn whn i use pidgin... else it runs on web messenger. irc, yahoo, google work well.

Are u connected to a LAN? I had the same problem while using Airtel on my LAN...the Beetel Modem is faulty, change your modem ( BSNL modem, Huwaei) ...it works smooth

when u say the beetel modem is faulty...you mean get another one from airtel or use anything but beetel ?
