Thread: Airtel Bill.

I use Reliance Broadnet Rs 750 per month 150kbps unlimited transfer plan.The bill,after adding taxes comes out to Rs 842.I want to switch to Airtel Rs 799 Home 799 plan.So,what I'm asking is,would the bill be 799 or are taxes added to it?I'm in Pune.Likewise,I'd like to know a plan,less than Rs1000/month,mostly for heavy downloading.

Taxes are NOT added in that 799. Taxes would come around 80+. So it would be around 900 in total. Got it?

Not just with Airtel, with any ISP, the charges mentioned are always before service tax. To get the correct estimate, add service tax @ 12.36%.

Recently read that Airtel is offering 256Kbps connection unlimited H24 in Delhi .

Give the Home 888 Plus Plan a spin , it comes up to 994 ( with taxes ) .
( 256 in the day 512 in the night / Unlimited )

I have 699 plan and this month mine is 867 Rs and i have to pay tommorow.

Thanks folks,I'm gonna opt fo 799 plan(256kbps unlimited) because,I downloaded like 26 GB in the last 2 months.So,the electricity bill gets to frightful proportions with reliance 750 plan(just 150 kbps,or 1 MB per minute).

By the way,what about the Tata Indicom Rs1000 384kpbs unlimited plan?Is it good?I heard there are some problems with the Tata Indicom service...

I will say that you stay away from Tata Indicom.

If Airtel is available in your area, I suggest that you go for Home 888 which is Rs. 888 plus tax, 256 kbps during day and 512 kbps during night (I think from 10 pm to 8 am).

Else you switch to BSNL.

BSNL sux man.I had it last time.got a bill of Rs3975.n all the downloading I did was 2.30am to 7am.had the Rs 500,night unlimited plan.i guess airtel's the best option.

and if the bill had been reasonable,it would've been Rs 27000,because I had downloaded about 27.8GB and uploads were about 17.(utorrent)

That is up to you. But I never got overcharged anytime. You have to restart modem at 2 AM and 8 AM. Then the usage is not counted in general usage.
