Default connecting two comp with beetel adsl modem

hi .. I have airtel broadband connection. I have beetel adsl modem with ethernet and one usb port. Can I connect two computer one with ethernet and one with usb port and work on both simultaneously. I have talked to airtel officers but they are not giving satisfactory reply. Is there any problem in this connection or whether it runs smoothly.
    Thanks

    Welcome to India Broadband.

Yes it is possible to connect to machines to your modem. Your modem must be configured in PPPoE mode. Bandwidth will be divided (shared equally) by both machines.

For all your queries, please read the many guides posted in the Broadband How to section.

thanks just4kix for reply. I have talked to airtel customer care regarding this but they were sceptical about connection, according to them problem like frequent disconnection will be there. So is there anyone who has running two comp and facing any problem except speed(which is supposed to be divided)
    Thanks

There cannot be frequent disconnections just because two computers are connected. There are no problems other than bandwidth being shared. I have multiple connections at home (with BSNL).

mostly as far i've seen vista wont support usb if it is a 64 bit.. it'll be working fine it its 32 bit..
and also i've seen many customers having problems when both usb and ethernet are used at the same time.. so v'll suggest customers not to use it like tat.. or atleast you should not use it simultaneously..

Best is to use an ethernet hub connect your beetel modem ethernet to hub, and other two pcs ethernet to hub.

It will work like a charm
