Thread: Firmware Update Failure

I had downloaded new version of firmware and read all the instructions and when I am doing update, it failed.

Now beetel 220BXI ADSL2+MODEM not working.

link led is lighting even there is no connection.
When I connect my lan, PC/USB led is lighting but no recognization in PC.
Tried to reset, hold the button for 1 min, no use.
No access from any pc, no ftp, no http, no ping


What is the problem and what should I do now.

I had called the airtel customer care and they had replaced with new one. That is only the solution as thereis no program in router to operate. Or they will reload the firmware.

you can reload the firmware after making the modem to factory settings

SOrry, tried and no use.

you are telling that the modem has been replaced by us.. its working after changing it right?

as you tried to upgrade the firmware of your router but failed to do so and in that process u reseted your router that means all the settings that were saved on your router got deleted.simply get in touch with airtel cc and get the router reconfigurd from them or contact your router manf. and get the firware uplaoded from them and reconfigure the router..

as per attitude said its correct that you can contact manufacturer to get the firmware reloded or updated for your router otherwise simply call airtel cc and they will replace your router

you really need not to hold it for 1 minute that can dammage your router, reset button needs to be pressed for 10 seconds only.

It is quite possible that you modem is fried. Get in touch with Airtel CC and check your options.

You should never try firmware updates unless recommended.

Could you open the modem settings pages ( with the new unit supplied ) to re enter the values ?
IN Access control page see/check all are selected.
