    Unhappy Upload speed trouble

I just got Airtel 384Kbps 2 days back with the Wi-Fi router that is 450BXI everything is fine except the upload speed.
When i am uploading through Utorrent i am getting good speed of 40KB/s or more but when i am uploading through Rapidshare(RS) Uploader in my account
I am getting very low upload speed like 16KB/s-20KB/s that to very fluctuating so can anybody tell me what is the real problem since when i speed test my upload speed it was 407kbps.
Is Airtel Capping my upload speed or is there any other problem.
Please need a solution to this as soon as possible.

    thanks

The upload speed depends upon the load at server also. If you are getting good torrent uploads, it is ruled out that Airtel is capping your speed. Assume that you have RS premium account. Else the speed will be capped by RS.

    hi dear ...
your upload speed depends on your computer in built settings and the file or data u r trying to upload. will advise not to use any peer to peer s/w..

seems like speed is capped by RS here and i assume you are not using RS premium account and in all normal (free) RS accuonts speed is capped and after reaching a certain limit you will not be able to download or upload.

As attitude said, i agree using p2p is not a good but we can get all the things from p2p which can be good for end user but not good for organisation

guys never had the problem earlier with tata connection actually i used to get 40KB/s upload speed and only 30KB/s download speed which was astonishing and RS only caps download speed upto 50KB/s for free users no cap on upload speed since i have been a RS premium member for some time i know about this.
and during speed test i got 407kbps upload speed.

but i really don't think that airtel provides or gives promise of any minimum upload speed as i know airtel is ADSL provider not SDSL provider.
ashok can you please put some light on this

Hi, Im using airtel 256 kbps but Im having a really strange problem. I tried ftping to multiple sites, and everytime I monitor the upload speeds I can see that it is positive (2-5 kbps) for about 5 second intervals and then stops for about a minute. This keeps on repeating! I have no issues in downloading through ftp, or using torrent sites (I guess uploads also work well here). Any idea why FTP uploads would have such strange behaviour? This is giving me a lot of trouble as Im now unable to upload anything to my own site!
