Question Should i migrate to airtel from BSNL?

Hello guys! I'm currently using BSNL broadband and want to migrate to airtel broadband . Can the users please tell me if it will be fruitful for me to migrate or is airtel speed similar to as of BSNL? Services would be much better i suppose....
also I wish to know about the unlimited plans available here in jaipur 'coz not all the plans are shown on the website. Guys please help me out!!
    thanks a lot in advance!

The golden rule of any game is: Never fix things if they are not broken.

Yes, Airtel provides better services in general but not everywhere. For example, Airtel is well established in Delhi territory and hence Delhi/NCR service is good - but even here, Airtel has not penetrated at all places. Airtel uses fibre optic cables till the last km and hence its signal strength is excellent, unlike BSNL which uses copper cables that gives rise to line attenuation and signal degradation over long distances from the exchange.

Having said that, you alone have to analyse your own situation. Will moving to Airtel you any advantage? The points to consider are:

    - reliability: Airtel is better; switch if your current connection is not reliable
    - usage: if you are heavy downloader, BSNL with the night unlimited plan is better
    - cost: BSNL is cheaper
    - customer care: There are two aspects - response SLA and resolution SLA. Airtel is supposedly better but again it depends upon area. For example, you might get thru the CC quickly and complaint noted (response SLA) but case takes too long to get resolved (resolution SLA)
    - billing: BSNL is better

airtel is a good idea but BSNL is cheaper, if you need a better and stable connection with good tech support then go for airtel

ya m very satisfied after going in for airtel, there were some problems after 24hrs of getting the conn, but they were sorted out quite quickly.

an agent even came to my house the other day just to get feedback on the service

i shifted from reliance wimax, do NOT know about bsnl, just that every1 of my friend uses it (bsnl) wherever available, and they are all quite satisfied with it.

first do get some feedback how is the airtel service in your area.

I think Airtel will be better option atleast it will provide you better speed. But it also depends on the region you live bcoz in some regions Airtel is better & in some areas BSNL is good. & the another thing is customer support & service so here i would like to say that we should not forget that BSNL is an govt. undertaking company that means poor & late response iam not saying that Airtel has quick response but they take less time. but slowly they are also not giving response quickly & services.

not such a big diff for now... its peak time so the dn speed is also on the lower side... the speeds vary in this ratio tho.

i will vote for Airtel as they are good and offers a reliable connection not like BSNL connection breaking now and then xD

one more advantage is that you will get the connection within 2 working days just like i got,
the maximum no. days you can get ur BB connection is 7 days and if you havent recieved ur connection even after 7 working days then your registration amount will be refunded

yes i too got the conn very fast... even some problems i encountered after the first few days vanished soon... the connection hasnt gone down for long.. only once there was some prob with their backend, but it fixed after a few mins.

and the best bit is i can watch 90% youtube vids without breaks... for the remaining 10% i just pause for 10 secs and they too play very well

I am on airtel 384 kbps UL. Speeds are very consistent and stable. I got my connection within a week. The beetel modem they provided supported port forwarding by default and I didnt have to configure anything on the modem. Customer support is really bad with bsnl. Go for airtel.

cheaper is the 500 plan i think and has a 2gb cap if m not wrong.... i just hate limited plans, even if they claim many mbps speed n what not... at least i don't have the patience to wait till 1 or 2 AM at night to start downloading... i mean wtf!? so break free people and enjoy unlimited plans even if they are slower...

^^ Well there exists another plan by the name of Home 500. No C or C+ or C++. I was merely mentioning that.
