    Default Which on to go - BSNL or Airtel broadband

    hi,

    I want to take a new broadband connection and want to go for limited broadband usage option.

    I have two options to choose from. 1. BSNL general home plan - home 250 band width 256 kbps upto 2mbps.
    2. Airtel combo 499 - broadband download speed 2 mbps.

    Which on is better considering the speed?

    i think airtel combo 499 is better and airtel more reliable, in delhi airtel works good not sure about your city.

    I suggest that you go for BSNL Home 500 C+ plan.

    Airtel is good with both speed and reliability , BSNL is slightly faster but reliability is well , forget about any support from CC , it's a constant battle if your net goes down . Since Airtel is a private ISP it usually fixes the problem within the day , for BSNL be prepared to fight to get your issue resolved .

    My Take , if Reliability matters , take Airtel , if Speed matters take BSNL

    Most people say that BSNL is only a fraction faster than Airtel , but according to my experience it's the opposite , when I was on BSNL 256 Kbps unlimited I used to get between 22 to 25 KBps , now that I am on Airtel 256 Kbps unlimited connection I get between 34 to 42 KBps so I am actually getting between 270 to 330 Kbps .

    My vote is for Airtel , anyday , their Tech Support staff is well informed , always ready to help you get the issue resolved ASAP ( almost ) and you are billed pro rata so if your service is down for a day or two then you wont be billed for those days , obviously you will have to let them know that the service was down , with BSNL broadband , if there is an issue with your service , heaven help you , also be prepared to run around the different floors of your main telephone exchange filing complaint after complaint , cause their help line number is managed by people who are 40 + , I know this cause I went through all of this till I gave up and opted for Airtel on a friends advice , I have been happy ever since, my connection is running 24*7 and in the last 8 months that I have had it , it has gone down 2 times for 5 minutes each , just helping you avoid a costly mistake . Get more peoples views and make an informed decision don't count on my review alone !!! .

    BSNL = :2guns:

    Airtel = unk:
