    Unhappy Disconnections in messengers

    I own a cyber cafe in chennai. I am facing a weird problem. I am getting disconnecton problem in messengers such as G-talk,Yahoo,Xfire but there is no problem with download or torrent. I haven't received a single page cannot be displayed error.I am using Deep freeze.

    I am getting this error from Sunday morning and there was a firmware update on Saturday. Please help me out.

    Internet download/upload speed: 512kbps
    Internet connection type (DSL, Cable, Wi-Fi, Wireless, WiMax, Proxy, Dial-up, 3G): DSL
    ISP name (ISP = Internet service provider): Airtel
    Network device you use (modem/router/network card)
    Modem - Beetel 220 BX1
    Router - Netgear prosafe 16 port switch
    OS: Windows XP Professional sp 2 32bit and Win xp 64 bi

    May be some problem in firmware upgrade . Try using some proxy server with Ymsgr , gtalk e.t.c or try using old firmware.

    1.Post Device status page of Beetel modem 220BX1.

    2.Confirm you get connected to those web sites , but later get
    disconnection.

    3.Have you tried opendns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222. ?

    I am having this problem only when i am in a network, when i ping using the connection in a single comp things are fine. Airtel Engineer suggested that a router would solve the problem.
    And when i connect a single comp using the Switch there are no disconnections.
    Disconnections happen only with multiple comps.

    Please tell me Ur valuable suggestions.
