    Default Airtel DSL misusage??

    Hi all,

    I am new to this fourm and this is first posting here. I am using Airtel Broadband from past 2 years.
    From Past three months , my Airtel bill incresed by 300%. I am not sure if
    Airtel is adding some one DSL usage in my account or Some one is stealing bandwidth from my connection.

    I requested Airtel to book a complain but they said it is not possible that some can misuse connection.

    Please Guide me , how to teach lesson To Airtel.

    I know , if airtel employee wants they can share my bandwidth with some of his friends.Right now i am away from India so whatever i can do , i can do online. Please suggest if i can Complain TARI or some other bodies.

    Before that, please ensure that your PC is not infected with malware/virus that is eating into your bandwidth.

    If you have wireless at home, ensure that it is protected and someone is not 'riding' your connection.

    If the problem is none of the above, keep Modem switched off for 3-4 days and check usage. You should have zero usage during that time.

    In short first ensure that there is no problem from your side.

    Hey hi Geek! here....
    Let me clear ur problem actually the Airtel provide theBroadband with a cable tht is capable of having voice and internet there will be a fixed landline number where the internet can be connected on only that Land line number what u have check if u wats theres a DSL user ID will be givn totally the internet can only be used on the cable what u have and no body can leak it....if u have queries post is again...
