    Default Disable Firewall?

    Airtel DSL router is showing my firewall is enabled how do i disable it?

    There must be an option in the router web interface to disable it. Please state your modem make/number so that accurate info can be given.

    but why do you want to disable the firewall. it would make ur system more vulnerable.

    Downloading problem.So,you know how to disable it in 400bxi?

    Is it with regards to torrents? Then u need to port forward the particular port. Disabling firewall wont help u out.

    Ya its all about utorrent but how do i portforward for 400bxi?It was all running perfectly but suddenly the speed got screwed since Sunday and what i don't get is that i get green signal but still only 19/20 kb/s.

    Try the advanced configuration pages of your router by accessing http://192.168.1.1/html/index1.html Checkout http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...html#post68180 (Beetel 440 TX port forwarding guide) for the rest of the procedure. It is for 440 TX, but u should get an idea about how it is executed.

    That advanced configuration page won't work for 400bxi.
