Thread: Ping Time

all airtel broadband user here can tell me how much ping time they get and which plan they are in --- ping iax.vyke.com -t

Least ping time is = 380 ms

Highest ping time is = 409 ms

I am on Home 999 plan

i get 140-160ms in reliance if i get 380 i have disconnected it, because i am heavy voip user, above 270ms in voip is unacceptable.

mine does not changes from 64
by the way.... i use
ping 192.168.1.1
maybe... thats the status of airtel..
how to check my own !! is it the one or is there anything else???

By pinging 192.168.1.1 arent u pinging the default gateway (your router) ?

average of 222ms

does somebody gets lower that 200ms????

i wonder why you people ping 192.168.1.1 ? i thing we need to ping the preferred dns server address. you can get it from your tcp/ip settings.

i dont use airtel.i use tata but i am surprised by such large ping times you people get. i get about 24-25ms always

I wonder whats the need to ping the DNS server, when the original thread starter has explicitly mentioned to try iax.vyke.com

hey guys where this thread is going i told u to tell me the ping time u get from iax.vyke.com -t, and now everybody started diagnosing thier network????

sorry guys, my mistake. didnt understood the point on the first post.

ok, here is my ping result from iax.vyke.com -t

somebody here can get lower than 170ms?????????

sometimes it is like 250 n sometimes 180
