Airtel wont be reverting back the policy. Infact many ISPs are following suit with Sify being the latest entrant in the fair usage thingy..

    All unlimited users of Airtel;
Please check unbilled data regularly in your
    Self care page , frequently.
If nothing is shown I doubt Airtel checks usage of
    U/L users.

    Para two:
i am on free NU plan and my NU usage was shown. earlier.
After contacting CC/Nodal they have reset
the counter to show my usage only between 0800AM to 0900PM.
    ( i am an old user Combo 499 + TOPUp Rs 99/= , 2 Mbps speed
1 GB day limit Rs 200/= phone calls free !)

my stats only shows the duration of the connection... so u'r saying that they still won't have any data usage of the ul users on their end?
so what if they r not showing it to us... they or they will have to start tracking the data usage now, else whats the point of the whole thing. they r not fools
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!

Airtel billing method is like this.
They log all usage time and data and amount
Say it come to Rs 1300/= ( for BB)
from the bill they deduct Rs 800/== ( 1 GB) and bill me 500/=plus taxes. ( NU not shown )

If they don't show the amount and if there is a cap for
unlimited users ( say 10GB) same metering will be done.
Also I find in the tariff plans ONLY the speed is reduced
    for U/L users.

If no amount is shown in your SELF CARE page,
    today, send email to CC.
What is the use of Self(dont)care page , if I cannot
see my BB usage amount !!!!

What do you mean you are done with downloading??
Have you stopped viewing streaming video sites online ? Wont you download new content from internet? Wont you watch TV channels online in the future?

firstly streaming video's not my thing, whatever videos i do watch, they clearly would not amount to any more than a gb in a month for me.

i mainly download western tv series episodes which do not air simultaneously on tv in india, and i have already got all the seasons of all my fav series (which was the bulk of my downloads).
if in any case m gonna get anything big i'm sure it won't go beyond 8GB at max in a month nowadays. n regular browsing clearly won't run into multi gigs of data for me.

even in the rare case that i do cross 15gigs in the month, i won't complain about the speed since i hav already suffered enough before with <100kbps connections (the fastest was 150kbps @840 bucks, the least, 64kbps @700bucks) to complain about the cheapest connection i've had till date, which is still giving me somewhat better speeds compared to my previous harrowing experiences with 'broadband' in india, even after crossing a 15gig limit. .

Why dont they just make the plan upto 2mbps connection and then put this limit thing at the end its the same.... it attracts people to download more..

OK. Got your point. Current situation for all Airtel Unlimited Users can be summed as "Party's Over"!!
