Thread: New airtel connection issue - " activation page"

Hello,

I got a new airtel broadband connection yesterday with 256 kbps unlimited plan.( in Bangalore)
I got a problem like everytime when I switch on my modem and open a browser , I get a Airtel page where it tells to Activate my connection. There is a GO button on that page, and if I click the GO button it starts checking my modem ( Beetel - 110 BX1), and other things which goes on in background.
After 5 minutes it gives a message " thank you for activating your connection " .
Now I can start browsing.

If I switch of the modem and switch on again I get this activation page.

Any idea why this is repeatedly coming ?

well you could try changing your DNS servers to opendns - 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

Issue got resolved.
Called customer care. the Cc representative told me that he needs to check out from his end. after 2 minutes he told me that he has resolved the issue.
I tried switching off the modem and switching it on , there was no problem again....!!!

Strange. I didnt understand the solution for this..... but anyways it got resolved.

Check under "Management"
whether tr_069 client has been disabled ?

No need to do anything.
If anyone gets this problem just Call Customer care , they will fix it up ,
or click on activate , it will take around 5-10 minutes. Finally you will get a message that your airtel line is activated.Thats all, it will not show up any more.
As per my view, all new airtel customers are getting this screen.
