Do not have an idea whether Airtel is providing connection in your area. Check with Airtel. Usually the connection is good but recently Airtel has implemented a "Fair Usage Policy" for unlimited connections.

Under this policy, if your usage crosses a certain limit, your speed is capped and reduced to half of what is applicable to the plan.

    Try BSNL also.

I live in Shastrinagar Yerwada Pune , Airtel Rocks , speed is amazing , reliability is rock solid , Bye Bye BSNL ( FYI the BSNL Main Exchange is less than 500 Mtrs from my home but guess what , IT STILL SUCKS !!! :death: :001_9898:  ) check my posts and make an informed decision

http://www.indiabroadband.net/airtel...rtel-bsnl.html (switching to airtel from bsnl)

http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...ease-help.html (Home 900 UL Plus Speed Issue !!! Someone Please Help !!!)

Airtel Is the way to go , and please go unlimited if you are a big down loader like I am do close to 100 GB / Month , the last thing you want is a 30 K bill

When looking for an ISP , make sure you ask around , 4 things should be on your agenda

    1) Service Reliability ( Uptime )
    2) Speed
    3) Customer Service
    4) Cost

After using close to 7 ISP's I find Airtel meets all the requirements above , it could be different for you , give Airtel a try , it wont disappoint, if u dont like it switch to another ISP , whatever you choose , make sure you keep those 4 key points in mind .

This :001_9898: is legit , they have already started capping speeds from the 7th of Feb , OMG , the Internet revolution / torrents / social networking sites / etc etc will suffer badly

I heard that capping applies for new connections of airtel only... Older connections are spared for now... I'm using a couple of years older airtel connection... Haven't seen capping of speed on my connection so far!

if u r worried about speed and data caps then don't go for airtel,u said u need quality then u can check with reliance broadband wired in ur area, only reliance gives more speeds with same price as others and its the only isp in india to give broadband on optic fiber line for superb speed and low latency.

Well regarding this, i'm thinking of going for the 798 plan.. it has a daily cap and night unlimited. Since it is night unlimited and not purely unlimited, FUP will not be applicable for this right? And if it is, what will be the limits? I usually download ~40-50gb/month.

Airtel is moving ahead with the FUP scheme. Just a few old connections have been spared for now, but even they will be capped soon!

id suggest try some other service if you're looking for unlimited downloads!

Thumbs down Airtel the Third class network provider company

Airtel the Third class network provider company,
I too agree with the ppl,
airtel is not able to provide a network in metro city like pune.
And the unaccepted thing is, when I closed the number that guy took a next months rent along with my bill.

    airtel,
Provide the service first then beg for money.

    san,
    One unsatisfied Customer.
