Thread: never use a limited plan

hi guyz this is sunny doing cse(Computer Science Engineering ) in iit
due to recent sem exams i migrated to a limited plan which says
AIRTEL BROADBAND
256kbps usage-2gb(dont know exactly may be 4)
for rs 555 excluding taxes
i use to have a 2mbps unlimited plan worth rs 2222 excluding taxes.
i shifted to the limited plan on 5th dec 2008.
now when my exams got over i recieved letter(post) from airtel which consist of my bill.
i was shocked! to see you would not believe how much my bill was
ok it was
12,543 rs
amazing thing is that i didnt use it a single min.
i called the executive at my place he started arguing with me that this is not done u have used it and u have to pay it.
i said him to check the usage,he made a call somewhere and then this guy says "abhi system down hai 1 week tak millega aur aap payment abhi kardo"
luckily the airtel manager was my relative(door ka ristedaar).
he helped me out and i didnt pay a single penny.
amazing thing when i told this to my uncle (manager) he quickly printed the usage sheet and handle over to me which says that my adsl (modem) was turned off for 27 days.
so never trust the airtel guyz they try to trap u by doing these things.

Yes its shocking even i couldnt believe that i thought my bill would be around what i expctd
but never mind i hve changed my plan to unlimited 2mbps n i m happy too.
Airtel is the best service provider dont take me wrong
but i was just sharing my experience

Well, even with the unlimited plan there is the problem of FUP! So you can still face the same problem.

airtel is the biggest froud in india weather it iis dth,mobile or broadband it cheats teh user..recently airel has been fined by govt for providing incorrect info of it's useer (cheating with govt too)
