Default Going to Take Airtel ... Please give suggestions.

    Hello Friends,

I am totally new to this forum. Few weeks ago i have shifted to a new house. In my old house , i had BSNL broadband connection. For that connection i have to suffer a lot even have to pay a amount that was totally a fraudulent.

In my new house i would like to shift to Airtel connection. Please suggest whether i m taking a right decision or not. I would like to go for Value Combo 598 plan.

If you ok with the connection plan then Airtel is the best out there , there coustemer serivce is exceptional.

People are pissed at airtel for what they have done with Unlimited Connections but other than that ...Absolutely Brilliant.

airtel is the best option in most of the places and if you are not getting satisfatory services by BSNL then its better to move

thats the difference between kbps and kBps... true for everything, from mp3 songs to broadband speeds (this is called the bitrate), it is just the difference in units...

You will definitely enjoy your Airtel connection , do u think 3 GB is sufficient for you ? , it also sounds like Airtel have withdrawn Fair Use Policy .

TATA wimax is bad, once your disconnected , you may not get connected again for an hour..

i believe no wimax service is as good as it should be, cause the technology is still at a very young stage, couple that with ISPs of India and what you get is a disaster... (having used reliance wimax, i know)

Airtel is a good choice, I have used BSNL for 6+ months , were the worst 6+ months of my life , shifted to Airtel after a friends suggestion , haven't regretted it as yet , broadband up time is now a thing of the past with Airtel , look around this forum for my posts on headaches with BSNL , ive been there , done it , again , Airtel is a good choice !!!! ,
3 GB is sufficient for surfing the web and checking your emails , if you are a heavy user , switch to unlimited immediately , ive seen the look on peoples faces when they were asked to pay a bill of upwards of 30 K on limited plans cause they weren't careful to check if they exceeded their limit, if u plan to stick with a limited connection , make sure to register and check the Airtel Self Care website for your data transfer daily , 256 Kbps is the entry level speed for broadband , it's sufficient for normal usage , apart from video chat , on a side note, 3 GB includes ( Download + Upload ) . Please post your experience with Airtel broadband , it will help other people make an informed & unbiased decision

i beg to differ.... i've never seen such a prompt cc as airtel. they rectify problems within hours, if at all a problem crops up.

they are bunch or liers, i booked airtel BB connection 3 months ago these jar heads came and collect money saying we will dig and put wires then they will give connection 2 weeks past they said they don't have permission to dig i said i need connection badly and those bastards said if there are 500+ people are willing to book then we dig, how stupid is that main thing is in my whole area only 400 airtel subscribers are there and my home is 200 mtrs away from there box, these jerks CC people are free because of low customers, they provide connection near main roads, i simply don't recommend airtel fraudband

i think in the absence of the underground network, giving them the oney wasn't a good idea.
I had approached them many times before the underground work had been done in my society, however they did not give me any hope or any plans that they would be expanding to my locality any time soon.

Look, its a matter of personal opinion, i had been taken on a ride by Reliance wimax a while back...for 6 months. You might be of the opinion that they are the best around here (judging by ur avatar), but i don't agree on that because i have been screwed over by them a number of times, be it their mobiles or their internet services.

So its pretty useless you imposing ur thoughts on me and i on you. I won't change my opinion about them, and you won't about airtel.
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!

if they cant give connection they can say simply no why they booked and gave false promises?

reliance box was also far from my home same distance as airtel but they installed special devices to give optimum speeds on long distance and given me connection.

and they returned my amount after 2 months

i agree reliance wimax is crap but DSL is best, yah u get screwed by reliance but they given u connection for money u paid but in my case those jerks booked the connection and flew away with my money i have to call them 100 of time to refund me, if i see that airtel agent again near my home i will broke his hands and legs very badly

i am forced to correct you, the admin here ran after reliance to give him a wimax connection for weeks but nobody showed up, i think he had paid the installation charges. they disappeared after taking his order. He had to take tata instead.
now what do you want to say?

both reliance and airtel uses the franchise model for most areas. so the quality of service of any locality is only as good as the good intentions of the franchise holder for that area.
