Thread: HELP --I m BEING OVER CHARGED......

HEY GUYS PLZZ HELP ME OUT...

I HAVE 555 COMBO PLAN OF INTERNET WITH 2 GB DOWNLOAD FROM AIRTEL FOR THE PAST 8 MTHS .
THIS TIME THEY HAVE ADDED OR I SHOULD SAY OVER CHARGED ME Rs. 1000 FOR EXTRA USAGE WHICH I HAVE NOT USED AT ALL. I HAVE NET METER FROM GOOGLE WHICH IS 100% ACCURATE WHICH SHOWS DIFFERENT READINGS WITHIN LIMITS.
AMOUNT OF OVERCHARGING CAN BE GAUGED FROM THE FACT THAT A 200 MB TORRENT DOWNLOAD HAS BEEN SHOWN AS A 762 MB DOWNLOAD.
AIRTEL HAVE EXCEEDED ALL LIMITS OF FRAUD AND TREACHURY IN MY CASE AND WHEN I COMPLAINED THEY SAY THERE BILL IS 100% ACCURATE AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY THE BILL.
GUYS PLZZZZZ HELP ME OUT IN THIS CASE AND GUIDE ME ON HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS UNFAIR ACT FROM AIRTEL.
HOPE FOR A EARLY POSITIVE RESPONSE FRM U ALL...

guys srry for my ignorance in using caps .

i have read d above mentioned thread but sunny had a relative in airtel and he cud resolve his case but i sadly don't have such a contact .

so kindly suggest what action can i take against airtel b'coz d image of best service of airtel is tarnished now.
also i wud appreciate if u cud suggest a gud plan other then unlimted one which has sumwat usage >= 1 gb of sum other isp's also.

what i suggest is go to the Airtel office and ask them the detailed bill ie it should contain the time you connected, bytes transferred and disconnection time. I guess you will not get this because they will not provide you, this is not the only case like this there are tons of issues about airtel. You tell them directly if they are not going to give you the detailed bill then will not pay for it and will go to consumer court for this... ! else resolve the bill according to your reading. you also try to get your detailed bill from the software you use, then show it in court if they dont agree

i had asked them for a detailed bill but they said they don't have that service.
moreover the google net meter which i use shows only my total download in mb's but it is 100% correct .
i m considering of getting d connection disconnected and pay them minus the excess 1000Rs they have overcharged .
is that possible??

no that is not going to work, no doubt they will take the money how much ever you pay but later they will send you a notice from a lawyer that you have so much over due so pay it or will file a case on you.

So what ever you do either beg borrow or steal you have to finish that matter cant leave it open

the issue is not about i being not able to pay this amount but d question is that billing is in airtel's hand and today if i pay them 1000 rs and then next month or later they send me a bill of rs 2000 and say that i will have to pay den wat....

we say consumer is king but this type of harrassment is uncalled for ..... i m pissed of by this incident ...... and then u are not even allowed to register to view ur daily usage frm there side.....
airtel is worst .....

right.. airtel service has been pretty bad recently.. there was a time when people said that airtel would even come on a sunday to fix your internet connection.. now a friend of mine recently had a very bad experience with airtel..

dude its same everywhere with limited plans.....thts why unlimited plans r preferred over limited plans.....better go for unlimited plans....first thy save u frm unexpected bill shocks.....secondly u can dwnld as much as u like....only negative pt being the limited speeds but its simply u cannot get everything....
