Rep Power: 1 | I know this topic has been discussed b4 but i was bit confused and that was somewhat different. wells so i have Beetel 110BX1 ADSL2 + Router, i want to open port 7777 (others may work) as i want to start a server in SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer, sa-mp.com) well, after some googling i found that that stuff can be done in 192.168.1.1 thing. I opened that and select Advanced Setup > NAT > Port Triggering. then there were lots of stuff i had to fill though i didn't know what exactly they were. Firstly i added a port triggering thing with setting as 'TCP' and all the ports as '7777'. It didn't work! then i added another one with settings as 'TCP/UDP' and other ports as '7777' and many other stuff but none worked. I tried starting the server with port as '7777' but it was not started on my ip ---.---.---.--:7777 So, i'm waiting for your kind help Last edited by abhishek170; 04-07-09 at 04:28 PM. |

Rep Power: 1 | actually the server configuration asks the port we want to use to start the server at. It's mainly 7777 (some servers use different). This port was opened in BSNL Broadband but now as i shifted to airtel, its not... tnx for u tried googling but that tutorial is only for playing on a server, not starting a server ... |

Rep Power: 2 | virtual server is required "When your computer is running a service on particular port and users from outside want to connect to that service on that specific port" Port Trigerring is required " When you initiate or triger a connection on specific port and waiting for response" In my perception, Port Trigerring is right based on googled. do you get servers listed in sans andreas as http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Getting_S...#Find_a_Server Quote:

Rep Power: 2 | I feel bad that my previous post didnt mean what i want to say. What i mean is to assign IP address manually to your laptop . This you have confirmed that you are already using manual configuration. so no need to go for Static IP from Service Provider unless you opt for. |
