Default Airtel BB full of spammers!!

    Take a look at this....

And this single forum is not the end of the story, i've come across at least 2 other forums where the Airtel IP range has been blocked by the admin!

Get a life (and some other bb connection) spammers!

Now i'm forced to use a proxy to those sites...
    DON'T beam me up, Scotty!

I seriously would never think of joining any forum when someone is clubbed as a spammer for no reason at all - maybe Airtel BB users are spammers, maybe they aren't (I believe the later). But that does not mean that every person should be clubbed and grouped like this. This is internet racialism.

yes even some of the top reputed trackers reject ur IP if you are from airtel broadband. Very true.

But as just4kix said this is not a good practice.

but why blame them for blocking ip ranges from where spammers come up again and again? they have the right to keep their forum clean...

and skap about the safety part, i mostly am on linux and hidemyas* , i don't think that site does anything malicious, and i don't sign in anywhere using proxies..

and not all the airtel ip ranges are blocked, i'm allowed when i get 122.163.xxx.xxx (but it is rare ), the 122.162.xxx has been blocked on the above and the two other forums i visited.

PS: even i have defined in utorrent to block the iprange if more than 3 ip of the same range give bad pieces... so i don't see anything wrong there, just the fact that some airtel users (not limited to airtel of course) are so dumb that they think they can get away with such acts, and also cause trouble to others!

When you use proxy, you are routing all your traffic through that proxy server and then to your destination site. so all your traffic routes through that proxy. as i said in another thread, those anonymous proxy sites can monitor and log all your traffic.
You have to trust me that even if proxy does monitoring of your internet traffic, we will never come to know whether they do or not.

Singing in proxy site doesnt matter.

So for best practice, dont transfer sensitive information through proxies.

the password to a site is sensitive matter (signing in)! and i don't use the iport proxy, only the web based ones and that too for the sites above.

i mean they had blocked an entire ip range & not some particular ip & they had mentioned about spamming attempts.
