    Exclamation Help Needed friends....!!!

    Hi friends,

    I tried to go thru the forum before posting this thread. So if the same info is there somewhere in this forum please guide me thru...coz i have tred a lot of steps and still my problem is unresolved.

    I want to share my airtel broadband connection between 2 PCs (Desktop and a Laptop)

    I got...

    1. Desktop (C)
    2. Laptop (D)
    3. Airtel ADSL Router (A)
    3. Wifi Device (B)

    What I am planing to do is defined in the diagram below

    Let say Airtel ADSL Router is (A) and the rest of the letters define other devices. ( === ) denotes wired and ( ----- ) denotes wireless

    NOTE: **** give to fill the space to get the diagram displayed properly...

    ****(Wired)********(Wired)
    (A)==========(B)==========(C)
    *************|
    *************| ↕
    *************| (Wireless)
    *************| ↕
    *************|
    *************| → → →
    *************|--------------(D)

    Please help me guys to get the configuration done so that I just have to turn on the ADSL and the wifi to get connected to the Internet on the Laptop without turning on the Desktop. And if possible can I get it configured to Bridge Mode and get the two system connect to the internet.

    Please Help guys....

    what wifi device are you referring about...?
    you can get a wifi enabled ADSL 2+ router directly & connect both PC & Lap to it... we understood by the diagram but tell me what is the wifi device you are using so will check if it can exchange data transfer

    There is already a guide posted about it... Download it & Follow the instructions...

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...html#post12663 (Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection)

    You can't use bridge mode for your scenario... Use PPPoE

    P.S. - VPI = 0 and VCI = 32 for airtel

    Correction:
    For Airtel VPI VCI is 1 and 32.
    MTNL VPI VCI is 0 and 32
    BSNL VPI VCI Is 0 and 35. etc

    Para two:
    Mention the model and make of the
    (1)adsl Modem
    (2)and WIfi router
    For detailed instructions.

    ADSLMODEM ==>> to desktop

    "A" to "D"

    (Adslmodem==>>WIFI router ~~~~~ Laptop)

    "A" to "B" ~~~~~~ "D"
    ~~~~~~ wireless waves.
    that is all !
    Guys.. Am in a cyber cafe... Adapter of my airtel modem has just blown off... :crying: What should I do? Will they change it free of cost? How many days it can take for airtel guys to replace it?
    or should I ask a local mechanic to repair it?
    Good for you, maddy.
    Of course, Airtel realizes that:
    - no adapter, modem cannot be switched on
    - no modem on, no internet usage
    - no usage, less billing.
    My brother tells me that he hasn't faced a single instance of server down problem in past 1 & half years with airtel... Service is obviously excellent!
