just confirm you are running in PPPoE mode... i am also using router-->hub-->pc's so its working fine for me...

no extra configuration. just keep the router in PPPoE mode & from all systems give default gateway as 192.168.1.1 thats all i did & is working fine...!

Though i will confirm about your router. Confirm you are in PPPoE mode

you have your router in 192.168.1.1 IP.

Did you change your switch to 192.168.1.x and default route as 192.168.1.1?

    see here..
    SKAPadmin.net Forum - Modem-Router-PC Network setup

by default, switches come with 192.168.1.1 IP.

Did you make sure that switch has same ip of your ISP router?

(connect your computer to switch alone and try connecting to http://192.168.1.1. If it connects, then your switch and ISP router have same IP)

Proceeding after you make sure that both your ISP router and switch have same IP..
    1. Connect only your switch to computer and not ISP router

    2. Access http://192.168.1.1

    2. Provide default username and password (either admin/admin or admin/password)

    3. change network details as
    IP: 192.168.1.5
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

    4. After 2/3 mins, try to access http://192.168.1.5 (do not connect ISP router till now)

    5. If it is success, connect ISP router to switch and then to your computer

    6. For confirmation, configure your computer network details as
    IP: 192.168.1.50
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.5
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

    7. Try browsing now and let us know.

I am not able to access my switch from any of the pcs.
But the lan is working fine.

I have assigned the system ips from 11 to 20

    Ip: 192.168.1.11 to 192.168.1.20
    Subnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 192.168.1.1

    DNS

    203.145.184.40
    203.145.184.13

have you tried with out connecting ISP router? connect only switch and only one computer, do not manually configure IP for computer. Let DHCP to assign the IP details automatically.

    then post me ipconfig/all details.

I connected a single pc to the switch (JFS516) and i was not able to open 192.168.1.1.... Does that mean that i was using a fault gateway so far?

The setup was running good for the past 18 months.

What should i do next having known that switch and router having different ip's.

    Thanks for ur effort Skap

    Beetel setup....

And here it is what i did

I connected the router and one pc to the switch and the net worked fine. And to my surprise the internet worked for the second comp too.And to check for disconnections i connected both the System to a gaming client Called Garena.

After that i tried 3 to 4 pc's to get the third internet connection which i never got. Then the first pc too lost the internet connection in browser alone. Garena was working fine.

In my frustration i connected Beetel 220xBX1 modem and the internet works like charm.

I installed network magic professional and it shows Internet and lan are working fine in all the systems. but still i am not able to connect.

P:S The problem with 220bx1 is i am getting dced from garena for every 2 min. I need garena at any cost.

    Default beetel 220Bx

    Thanks for the feedback.
    1.Enable DHCP in modem
    2.Give range 192.168.1.3 to say 192.168.1.30
3.Try Virtual server /Port triggering option in Beetel 220Bx.

    4. All computers TCP/IP
    obtain Ip adddress automatically.

    5. Confirm all 10 computers get connected to internet.

    6. Then PF for "Garena ".
    see w w w.portforward.com
i connected both the System to a gaming client Called Garena.......etc.
    7. Post this data for any computer ( say No 5 )
Start RUN type cmd type ipconfig /all

i believe one of your computer might have misconfigured TCP/IP. So enable DHCP in modem as essbebe said

when you plug in computers more than 2, do you see any abnormal light blinking in any port of netgear switch ?

    All must be Green.
Orange means initializing....it will turn Green after some..1/2 mins...

    @praveenkumar
after you r settled clearing the problems. let us know. We need to disable few logging options that would adversly affect performance of your browsing.

--> The problem is from one of his machines. Took a remote connection of his computers and found modem configuration was perfectly fine. After doing trace logs of HTTP and DHCP in modem, was able to find out the issue.
