    Default Airtel Customer Service Nightmare

I have been a long time customer of Airtel broadband and I must say that I have had nightmares each time I have had to call up the customer service helpline. The agents are impolite with no soft skills whatsoever. The systems are slow - so each time you call they put you on hold several times for long periods. The total disregard for customers is shocking.

Even small issues take forever to resolve and most times you need to call several times to get a solution.

I have been trying to resolve a billing issue for a couple of months now. I have written to the NCR Nodal Officer (Raj Kishore Prusty) and the Appellate Authority but it seems that they are too busy to worry about their customers. Even when you try to call up customer service, try to talk to a service representative who knows absolutely nothing, and later request that you want to want to talk to a supervisor - you will be bluntly and impolitely told that they are too busy to talk to you.

The issue I am facing is that last time I paid the bill - the geniuses in Airtel deposited my cheque into someone else's account. After that I got several calls from the Airtel collection department and they even disconnected my service. After I complained - my services were restored but till today (2 months) even after several dozen phone calls my issue is still unresolved.

I even tried to pay my bills through the internet - through the airtel.in site - but i soon realised that the website only displays the previous months bills and there is no way to pay through credit card.

I sincerely believe that this is the worst telecom company I've ever come across.

Airtel boasts of fast speeds - but the speed is just what you pay for. So essentially Airtel is proud that it is able to provide the services that it charges for!!!

I highly recommend that if you have a choice of a different service, you should never ever think of Airtel - if you do so you will regret it every single day.

    Default

The cheque I make is payable to
    AIRTEL a/c 12345678
I drop it in the box in airtel center.
The next day I check in SelfCare page
    https://ebpp.airtelworld.com/

It is credited to my account.

What is the procedure in Bangaluru?

If you send by email your complaint to
    care.karnataka @ airtel.in ( check it )
and then endorse copy to nodal later
you may even get waiver of Rs 500/=
    for deficiency of service, or
    as goodwill amount.

I have stopped talking to CC on phone.
    simply make a complaint and
get a reference number. to follow up with email.
Airtel will never commit anything in writing !

You might not have read reports about BSNL
TataIndicom/Sify as well as Reliance CC. in forums.

I use both Airtel and BSNL. BB services.

    Default Err.. maybe not?

I have usually had very good service in Hyderabad... The technicians actually came to my place and went above and beyond by setting up my 3rd party wireless modem. In the last 2 years, this is the first time I had to actually call them. Even billing is a breeze with mChek or their online portal.

I must admit that the speeds aren't that great, but definitely their cust service which I have been really happy with.
