    "two on the single line" means you want to connect two modems in 1 line or two system in 1 line?

    I hav two BB modems.
    Mention model make/model.
    Make shift arrangement:

    If theTelephone junction is available,
    use additional adsl splitter in top floor.
    connect each modem and work the system/s

    Drawback;
    Only one can work at a time.

    Alternate:
    (a)from First modem if Lan1,2 3, 4 available
    extend from lan2 a RJ45
    direct to computer 2. in top floor.

    (b)or use USB port computer 1
    and LAN port for computer 2. ( same rj45 )

    feedback.

    For this u have to configure your modem to PPoE modem (ie user id and password stored in modem). Only one modem is required.

    computer A: Betel 220Bx working Ok.
    Computer B AX mt882 to be connected.
    (VPI/VCI for Airtel 1 and 32 )
    From BSNL Phone Junction ONLY ONE Modem can be connected.
    From a parallel Phone connection ( say in First floor)
    you can use the second modem ( MT882) with additional ADSL splitter.
    ONLY one connection will work at a time.

    See for settings for AX MT882

    Para two:
    How you tried to use the USB port of Beetel 220BX ?
    Do you have the Cd for usb drivers ?
    Explain the procedure you followed, and the error messages you received.
    The IP address for USB Port can be 192.168.1.2

    @ashishk2
    What is the present position ?
    You could use beetel 220BX usb port ground floor.
    Run rj45 from lan port to first floor.

    Same way Mt882 can be used. for two computers.

    I think it should work. Set your 1st modem , i.e. the one you would use more in pppoe mode & the second in bridge mode.
    In case you need to use the 2nd modem only, dial a pppoe connection manually from ur pc.
    To use both of them , switch on the 1st one & allow it to connect & then switch on the 2nd.
