Thread: Newbie In Indian Internet service

I am an NRI and will be shifting to Indore India for college
I currently have a 512KBPs Plan here in sharjah UAE with unlimited download
I would like to have a similar plan in India except with 1MBPS bandwidth
I was looking for Airtel 2222 plan
1MBPS bandwidth and unlimited
and also reliance unlimited 2199 plan
can someone please recomend any other plan with unlimited dowload 24x7
and good service and one which doesnt take much time for installation i dont want to be waiting months for the installation.

Airtel, Reliance, or for that matter any other ISP is not always available in every area. You will have to first check, who are able to provide service in your area.

Also time taken by a provider to install/setup the connection varies. The same ISP may be able to provide connection in one area in 24 hours or may take over a month in another area (of the same city). Broadband infrastructure is still growing and that is the reason.

Yes as j4k has told, it all depends on what area are you taking it in, as you already know where you will stay then why dont you ask any of the person where you live to make sure whats the condition there are how is the service.
Rest all we can provide the details here itself like plan and other technical problems of installation etc.. but the connection and installation time we cannot say for sure.

In my opinion Airtel has a better customer satisfaction rate as compared to other isps.

Most university campusus have internet connections of their own which can be availed in hostels as well.
