on a 32kbps connection you will never get more than 30kbps speed. The speed you are getting atm is near perfect.

    how can they get it

and one more doubt is ,,,
will they give me IP address separately or they vl assign IP address automaticaly which is under TCP/IP properties section.

Most ISP give a dynamic IP address. This IP address is known as the WAN IP address and this is visible to the internet world.

Static IP address is sometimes given by some ISPs under specific plans.

As far as your internet speed is concerned, your connection must be 256 kbps which means 32 kBps. Some Airtel users get more speed than promised. But that is not guaranteed. Let us know whether your connection is 256 kbps or 384 kbps or 512 kbps. And check what your friends have.

It is also possible that they may be getting such speeds in small bursts.

I think you have not understood superprash's questions:

    a) The speed that you are getting - is it 30 kilobits per seconds (kbps) or 3o kilobytes per second (kBps). ISPs mention speed in kbps whereas on the computer speed is displayed in kBps.

Please do a check on speedtest.net and post the results.

    b) The speed you get that you are mentioning - is it from torrents?

krishnasir If i understand you correctly, you are getting 30kbps while downloading (transfer rate).
For 256kbps plan it is fine and there is nothing much you can do about it,
    your plan is upto 256kbps.

If you are getting 30+ then need not to worry about the speed
