Default can we change IP address by ourself.
hi all,

plz tell me ,,, can i change my IP address on own.

actually airtel ppl gave me dynamic IP address
and now i want to change to static IP address

the reason is downloading is less for me.

If i am wrong ,, plz let me know

You cannot change the ISP assigned address.

What downloads are not fast enough for you? Direct downloads or torrents? What is you ISP Plan speed?

For torrent downloads, (torrent) port needs to be forwarded. Your download speed will be max out at (plan speed / 8).

You can't change dynamic ip to static ip address.

Default Speed has nothing to do with STATIC IP
Sweetheart,

Speed depends on the connection type you opted for and the Speed configured by the ISP at the Server end.

STATIC is used only if you want to use extra services Like...,
Mailserver, FTP,Website hosting etc.
