Airtel is like a one-eyed man among blind people.They don't care whether you stay or not ,none of the private companies do.The only thing they care is about profit.Don,t get emotional about them as they are not worth it.But fight for your right which u must because they are like this because nobody does. As for me they have agreed for the plan after much arguing that I applied before 31st july.They cannot deny u the plan beacause as far as i know it was withdrawn in August.Confront them with request no provided u have it

Its quite a surprise that i got call to my mobile just now from nodal officer office.

But they too argued saying its difficult for them to give that plan as its currently withdrawn.

I didnt give up..i asked why they promised me for that plan?

But they agreed that the plan has been withdrwan on 30th august.

Then i said i got the refrence no. on 28th July, so maximum hours for plan migration airtel use to take is 48 hrs.

They were not able to convince me in anyway and they told they will come back again with final decison. Atleast its good to see they are giving response to customers.I think i will get it as they themselves accepted that the plan has been withdrawn after my application only.

Justice never should be denied.

I'm a passive reader in this forum. I had registered for the sake of providing hope.

I had been with Airtel for nearly 3 years. As we all know, the request was denied for most people. Though Airtel is the best ISP with little expensive plans, I still want value for my money spent.

Gathering some guts, having BSNL as backup ( BSNL agreed to provide me a connection in 7 days )., I went ahead and canceled the Airtel connection quoting "I was denied Explorer 1099 plan!". They accepted my cancellation request too!

I was hoping that someone from airtel would call me and I could settle for the Airtel night 2 mbps unlimited plan. But to my surprise, a man from Airtel backend team called and said that my request was approved and I would get it activated in 3 working days and requested me not to cancel the connection.

I agreed ( sounded with hesitation to him ).

Life goes on ....

Misc Info (for the pondering ones ...). Airtel TN., currently in 799pm plan @ unltd. 256kpbs., got confirmation for Explorer 1099 ( the backend officer promised said that it was 384 kpbs day and 1 mbps night and not the speed 1099 plan.) I said I would quote him if things went awry. ( got his name and number)

Now i feel what i granted. Yes i got it activated and now i call this as speed.

I got reply from nodal officer saying that they will activate this plan for me before 10th august. But the fact is i am using it..ha ha ha...

But still i feel sorry for some of our people who got denied for this plan.

But surely BIG THANKS to ADMIN for this broadband forum and RAHUL who gave me spirit to fight back airtel and somehow i achieved finally.

Till i cannot believe my own eyes as i m getting 140 KB/s in direct download and in torrent i am getting 120 KB/s to 130 KB/s.:clap::clap: If u want i can send you the screenshot. Bcoz i m not allowed to post the link here as i am a new user with less than 15 posts.

Once again thanks to this great forum.

I wish all customers shud be considered equal importance by Airtel.

I will keep in touch with this forum.

Fight back to get what you deserve...Thats wat i can say...Hope is there in the dictionary...But not in real life actually in most of the cases..Truely i cannot keep Airtel as favourite as they cheated many other customers by not providing the plan..

Congratulations on your Victory over Airtel guys , what Direct Download software do you use , have you tried IDM , I couldn't believe my eyes the other day when I got this speed with IDM , I am on the same plan as you are

But how lucky ur getting 230 KBps...Great man...

In IDM i use to get 140 to 150 KBps.

But ur right that happens in Airtel.

For u it went to 230 in night time....For me it went to 75 KBps in day time and it continued for maximum one hour.

Airtel Rocks....We are getting the best...Cheers..

But when i use to download movies or anything through torrents, i use to get 110 KBps more or less.

Do u have any idea on improving the speed?

Proper port forwarding / good number of seeds on the torrent / dont cap your upload speeds no matter what other people tell you , you should touch 120 ~ 130 , remember theoretically we should not be getting more than 128 KBps [ 1024 Kbps / 8 ] in the night time, still Airtel is being generous and giving us more what they promised ... !!! unk:
