Thread: Cost of Airtel Wifi

A friend of mine has Airtel broadband, and now wants to know what it will cost to get the connection wifi enabled? She wants the costs to include the router, card, etc.

She told me that she asked the Airtel customer care department and they said it would be around Rs 3500 and thought it would be too much and they may be ripping her off. So i suggested i would ask on the forum.

You can get a good router at around 1500 rs easily!! I bought a Netgear router around 2 years back @1600 rs!!

Dont know abt the Wifi Card.....but a Good wifi dongle cost around 1000 rs!

A linksys router would cost you about 1850, and an inexpensive USB wifi dongle goes for between 750-1100 depending in what you buy...
