Hi
I am running a company which has 30 systems, these systems are connected to a switch. I have broad band connections from airtel.

An airtel modem is directly connected to the switch .

Im losing the internet intermittently . if i connect a pc i can connect to internet .

can any body help me

Hey brother you cannot share INTERNET connection by using switch, for that purpose you require 'router' man..............

The modem in this case would probably be a modem+router as routinely supplied by Airtel.

Vikram - could you please let me know how the PC's are setup, i.e are they on the Modem's DHCP or some other DHCP or Static IPs. What is the default gateway? Just go to a command prompt and get a screenshot after you run the ipconfig /all command and post it...

Incorrect info. As per the author's current setup, the Airtel connection has a modem and a switch is connected to the modem.

Every modem has a built in router.

The problem is most likely that the modem is getting hot and auto switching off.

do you mean that they work at times? but at times you face disconnections?? or once you add a LOT of machines , they all loose connectivity? i presume you are in pppoe mode ofcourse, where your internet works as soon as you switch on your modem ( without any dialer)
