Question Is Airtel Cheating Customers?

Friends,

I m long time customer for airtel. I can tell i m 100 percent satisfied with their broadband service.

i m using exploer 1099 plan night 1mbps day 384 kbps.

sunday night i was surfing in late night and i thought browsing speed is slow.
Being curious i checked my speed thru speedtest.net.
Instead of getting 1mbps it was just 384 kbps.

i was shocked to see my download speed reduced to 384 kbps around 12.45 AM on 20th august ( thursday mid night).i got so much angry that time and i tried many basic things like restarting the modem. but my speed remained same in 384 kbps. i shud be getting 1mbps upto 6am in morning.

i regularly use to sleep at 11 in night after giving some downloads in torrent and will check in the morning only. But my curiosity is whether this happened to me regularly or its technical error just for one day...?

ok i accepted my self that it must be some server error.i though i will check one more day and will then can escalate to airtel.

Yes next day around 9.50pm 1mbps started like rocket...i have checked the download speed from 12.30 am friday midnight...surprised to see my speed dropped to 384kbps around 12.55am. God i caught Airtel redhanded.

I dont know wat to do?i have some soft corner with airtel as they never been irresponsible with me in the past.immediatley i mailed to customer care in the midnight abt the problem.The next day they called me speaking softly to me. They said they will be checking on this and will come back to me.

But anyhow sunday i used 1mbps fully and speed is fine as they promised. but i worried that whether we need to check the speed every night...now i always have doubts on them and sometimes i get bad dream that my speed goes to 0 and they are cheating while we are sleeping... Just kidding...

Ok..Guys..Did anybody faced this kind of problem? or u never checked the speed frequently? I just want to share this with u all as I dont want this to happen to any of you...

I hope Airtel will come back to me with postive answer. Let me know if anybody is facing anything similar to this problem...Thanks to admin for this great forum...

I havent been downloading much these days so dont check the speed frequently. I believe this is a one off case because till now I havent seen reduced speed between 10 pm and 6 am whereas I have many times seen 1 Mbps speed before 10 pm and even after 6 am!!!!!

Ya u may be right...I believe this happened only to me...

Let people be aware of what they are getting for their money.

But Airtel is 100 times better than others..

Will update once i receive the reason from Airtel CC...

guys i m also using dis plan but i dint face ny problem i m getting 1mbps.... actually daily i will sleep after 2 so i use 2 check my speed everytime....nyways keep trust on airtel its the only 1 who will give u perfect speed nd gud customer service.......

Friends,

CC called me and explained the issue very kindly.

Sincerely they answered my questions.

They finally promised me that they will make sure this speed fluctuation will not happen anymore to me. They said they are happy to see my complaint as this being the new tariff plan, its only thru customers like us they can check the quality of the service.

As it is new plan with heavy speed during the nights, they are still facing some kind of sudden problems with speed suddenly decreasing like it happened to me and some updation is going on from their side.

Finally i felt satisfied after getting answers...I didnt face any prob after that..i m getting wat i deserve..

I guess, admin can close this thread unless it is needed.

I think this happens for everyone.
I use 256 and some times i feel i get slow speeds, i raise a support ticket and the guy comes and check then it will be fine.

But i am sure I am better now than my past Sify connection.
