    Default Airtel Broadband Activation Delays

Airtel Broadband activation was big issue for me. They just promise that connection will be installed in 3 days but it took more than 2 weeks for me. Something or the other just happens. How was your experience? (plz take POll)

2 weeks, that's a long time! What reasons did they give to take so long?

It took more than a month for me. But I understand the reasoning behind the delay. I live in a dead end street and Airtel although popular in my area never set up the boxes on my lane because it didnt seem like a good investment to them.

When I finally managed to convince them to give me a connection, it took them all sort of time to dig up the road etc. It was then stalled because the cost of setting up the line was too expensive for them. Lucky for me, 2 other people from my lane wanted the connection and they finally relented.

In othercases where they already have the infrastructure in place, I would assume it shouldnt take them much time.

    So did you opt out?

Two weeks is nothing when compared to BSNL. But don't get me wrong here. Some people got BSNL connection within 48 hours.

Finally connection depends upon whether the infrastructure is setup in the area.

yeah.. in terms of activation, the support personel takes a lot of time but that is understandably due to the increasing demand i guess

Default Airtel Money not refunded cheating - 3months

I applied for a connection on Aug 28 2009. On sep 15, they informed no peacibilty in your area and asked to raise the refund. from that day, if i did not get any feedback. Many complaint in customer care, no updates. Escalated to Nodal officers in Nodal.southabts@airtel.in and airtelpresence@airtel.in but no updates.

    They are cheating the customers.

Thats the main problem with what they call as feasibility test, but understandably they need to do that before giving which otherwise could be updated in their website atleast the areas they covered..
