Thread: Airtel 450TC1 modem Configuration & Nokia XM 5800

I have airtel 450 TC1 modem(wifi), BSNL 500 plan and Nokia XM 5800 mobile.
I use BSNL broadband on laptop by first connecting to modem and then by entering username and password into >> Connect to >> "Broadband Connection".
But I cannot do the same on mobile.
Also only one laptop can be connected to modem/router.
I need to put bsnl's username, pwd into airtel modem.
So dat broadband starts up as soon as I connect to modem either thru fone or thru laptop.

I have added username and password in PPPOE section. But problem still remains.
Also I cannot change VPI/VCI to 0/35 but remains 1/32.

Please help!!!

If you are using a BSNL supplied modem
( mention model/make) to connect to Internet
Reset 450TC1 to factory defaults and check vpi/VCI 0_35 appears.
If Not you can create a new one.
( some advise deleting all in the WAN page and creeating new one )

so I cannot change VPI/VCI to 0/35 but remains 1/32.

To use your Nokia your internet connection should be "AlwaysON"
( your BSNL ID and PW entered in wan page of bsnlmodem
or beetel 450TC1.

I am not using BSNL modem, instead it is of Airtel (model: beetal 450TC1). My Internet Connection is bsnl's.
Also there is no WAN page.
when I open 192.168.1.1 and enter admin/password then the page contains orange, black colors with "beetal" written in blue colour.

Thanks for providing links but all those links are concerned with BSNL modems.
Kindly tell about Airtel modem....

Sorry. I could have mixed up Beetel 450BXI
and Beetel 450TC1
they are different.
Para two:

Trendchip Hg 520 may be the equivalent modem/router.



ALL modems/routers/ wifi will work for ALL ISP's
there is no BSNL
or MTNL modem or Airtel modem !!!!
Only change is VPI/VCI for airtel 1 and 32.
For bsnl 0 and 35.
and we use open dns 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222

Also there is no WAN page

Ya exactly.
But instead of "Trendchip", "Beetal" is written and in place of HG520, 450TC1 is written.
I tried to change VPI/VCI but everytime it shows:
"ERROR: FAIL TO UPDATE DUE TO... Duplicate to a VPI/VCI ! "

YOu are on an Airtel Forum. I had given VPI/VCi 1 and 32. for AIRTEL

My Internet Connection is bsnl's.

you need VPI/VCI 0 and 35 for BSNL to progress further. 1 32 will not work. The link may be named 1_32 but VPI/VCI can be 0 and 35.
