Thread: Configured Airtel Broadband on Linksys WAG200G wireless

Hi Guys,

I've come across many hassles and issues posted by others here while configuring Airtel Broadband on wireless in delhi.

Here is what I have.

Linksys WAG200G wireless router(Firmware 1.01.06 ) and Airtel Broadband line thats it . Both LAN and wireless working ok.

Steps

1. Reset your Linksys WAG200G router to factory defaults.

2. Choose Encpuslation type : RFC2516 PPPoE

3. Autodetect : Disable and VC values 1 and 32 for Airtel.

4. DSL Modulation : G.dmt ( It is MUST for AIRTEL broadband to work standalone without the use of any additional ADSL modem OR any useless bridge mode config).

5. Give ur username and password as given by Airtel.

6. Rest everything remains defualt, Just save the settings in the end.

7. Check Status > DSL Connection Status : Should show connected.

All done enjoy both Wireless for your laptops and LAN for ur desktop if you wish to.
