    Default Regarding my New Airtel Connection Problem

    Hi all,

    I recently took a Airtel Broadband connection to my Desktop, earlier this desktop was connected to BSNL Broadband due to connectivity issues I have changed to Airtel.

    The problem is when I plug my Airtel Broadband Lan cable from Modem to Desktop machine Lan Port it is browsing only google page and anything I search in google it displays the results but what ever link I click from the search results page it shows as page cannot be displayed.

    The same Lan cable from modem when I plug in to my Laptop everything works fine only in Desktop machine I have this problem.

    I have set the TCP IP as - Obtain IP Address Automatically and tried
    I have tried putting Airtel DNS Servers also - nothing worked

    If any one faced this type problem before kindly let me know the solution or else I have to format and load the system again.

    Since BSNL connection worked earlier no need.
    (a)Try a System Restore to Date when BSNL connection worked.
    (b) if you have the Xp installation Cd try sfc /scannow

    Lan cable from Modem to Desktop machine Lan Port it is browsing only google page
    could be from Cache/temporary internet files..
    IN desktop
    Start all programs accessories communications
    Network set up wizard. Follow instructions.
    Create a new LAN and retry.

    3.
    If still no go
    Start /network/ LAN
    properties
    Network settings page
    On top box your ethernet card details seen.
    Check configure
    check enabled or not
    try Update drivers etc.

    Feedback.
