Default Airtel Reduced my Speed to Half

    Dear Everyone,
I am from Bhopal, M.P and I have the Turbo 1299 plan for the last 4 months. Since 9 Dec 2009 Airtel reduced my Speed to Half in the night, from 1Mbps to 512kbps. I am calling them every night but they are not resolving my problem, I even wrote a mail to the Nodal Center but there was no help or solution provided.

They told me that this is happening to every one on the Turbo 1299 plan which I do not believe, I just don't know what to do, everyday they give me excuses and tell me that the problem will be solved by 6:00PM next day.

I also noticed that Airtel might also be blocking indiabroadband.net in Bhopal, I have accessed this site through a proxy.

Any words of advice will be appreciated.

    Bye

Thumbs down I am getting the correct speed but have to switch off the modem

I was getting the correct speed after 10:10PM (that is 1 Mbps) automatically but since past two days I have to switch the modem off and then turn it on again to get the correct speed.

On contacting the support they are not willing to register my complaint and give me a complaint number.

I am thinking of switching to Swift 1099 plan because I should get the night speed without turning the modem off.

Default Yes its a big issue

Yes restarting is a big issue for me, you know why because I pay Rs 1299 + taxes per month and I don't use games on demand, Airtel is not providing speed on demand in Bhopal, MP.

I am paying the extra Rs 200 for 8 hours of speed and I don't want to switch of and switch on my Modem. If you have to do that and you are happy with your ISP BSNL then good for you.

We are already paying them very large amounts for internet access and I will not tolerate any crap from them any more.
