Thread: Airtel soon to get Wi-Fi

Airtel which is India's largest telecom operator is soon to set out to enter the WiFi side of the internet business. As of next week there will be many hotspots across the country for WiFi connectivity.

At the moment Tata Communications is the only broadband provider who has hotspots, and BSNL which is state owned will soon be in the process of have their own hotspots set up across the country too.

As of some idea Airtel WiFi hotspots strategically have hotspots at leading hotels, hospitals, large chain restaurants, coffee shops and corporate buildings etc.

So Airtel is really moving ahead and will bring in lots of customers too

In Pune, there's already wi-fi spots available at many public places like at two important roads JM & MG road, free public access is available. But its believed that it is not that much secure. One has to be cautioned on its own.
