Thread: Dlink DSL-2640T router

Hi guys i have Dlink dsl-2640T router... I'm able to connect to the internet using bridge mode in the Wan settings... But i'm not able to connect my Nokia N97 using Wifi... It says No default gateway....Please help me to configure my modem, so that i can use internet both in my desktop and Mobile......

Change over to PPPoE/PPPoA mode "aLWAYS oN"
instead of "Bridged" DIALER MODE.
Enable DHCP.
Enable UpNp
Save reboot .

2. In present set up does your desktop get connected in WIFI mode ?
remove the Rj45 cable. ( from ethernet port )

I have connected the modem in cable only, i dont have WLAN card in my desktop

In the Dlink router you have to click Wireless menu and set it up .
(Done/Not Done)

Unfortunately you cannot monitor whether WIFI mode has been set up properly.

Try with a friend's laptop with wifi facility.

The WIFI network you had given will/should appear in the laptop ( YES NO )

and if unsecured he should connect to Internet. ( YES NO )

The name appears in the phone, but when i start to browse it says No default gateway.
