Thread: Download&Upload speed problem

I am from delhi and I am using airtel 256 kbps unlimited plan. I usually get 300 kbps download and 250 kbps upload speed on airtel. Since a few days I am getting poor perfomence in gaming so I decided to do a speedtest,the upload and download speed rates were coming really poor like 190 kbps download and 100 kbps upload. I also noticed that my ip range has changed from 122.163.xx(I used to get good speeds up to 2 mbps with this ip range) to 122.177.xx(very poor speeds continously). I tried changing my range back to 122.163.xx by reconnecting my modem several times but my range was still the same. Anyone getting the same problem or suggestions?

hi prosper might be there is a problem in box from the connection is coming to your home there is a funda of shared lines initially there is only 1 or 2 connection from that box now there r more that's why u r losing speed

bro on a 256 kbps connection u were getting 300kbps dwn and 250 kbps upload....????how....yaar airtel ppl r not tht gud also...i guess,,,maybe in ur case thy may be....

you are seriously an idiot, I get more than 2 mbps download speed on my line even with this plan. Actually I have a problem in my line connectivity, I found this out by doing a test on pingtest.net

so probably my modem or my line has some problem that needs to be fixed
