Default Older plans with cheaper tariffs

I have a 2mbps plan for which i pay 2499 a month and get Rs 300 of calls free
just found out that the new tarifs for the same 2mbps unlimited plan is 1999 and they have more free calls at a cheaper rate

why cant airtel migrate my plans in such cases .. or atleast inform me about it
    pissed off

anyone else with the same issue ?

    what rubbish
its one thing if they add new plans and dont inform the customers
its completely different if they replace one with a newer cheaper one , making the older plan redundant AND still charge me at the old rates

i have been using airtel for over 4 years and dont plan to change that at the moment, but that is just unacceptable

sent an email .. not really expecting much of a reply

Why send mail? Just go to their office give application for plan change & you are good to go.

That is just plain cheating on part of Airtel. Go to consumer court if you get bill by old tariffs.

i have applied for the migration . that will happen in a few days
the complaint was about not informing me about the newer tariffs .. the customer care didnt say anything

about the customer court , dont really have the time and airtel probably get away with a lot because of people not being arsed to take any legal action

unfortunately i will probably be doing the same ..

just wanted to know if other have had this problem .. will be checkig more regularly for newer plans from now on

You can send an email to CC asking for change of plan.
within three days your plan will change.
( Right time if billing cycle is 26th to 25th )

Unfortunately, In Self care page , I think , ( like in BSNL)
there is no provision to check up. ( will confirm later)

    Tariff plan ( old )
I am on Home Combo 499 + Top Up Rs 99/=
Rs 200 free calls Day D/L 1 GB Nu 0900-0800 FREE
    Speed upto 2 Mbps H24.
