Finally I got my speed upgraded to 1 MBps after a looong wait.
is it one time fee of Rs 100 to double your speed and you will be charged then per KBs download? can anyone clarify?
Rs.100 per month and i think it is available only to unlimited plans so there is no question of charge per kb...but FUP is applicable.
i activated this plan on 29th of january...but till now its not activated nor i hav got a reply from them...:-(
The 256 kbps UL plan costs 749 in Mumbai with free goodies worth Rs 200. So can i just send sms and i will get 512 kbps within a week?
& is it 100% sure, that you will get double speed after sending SMS and paying 100 Rs.
PPL Say its Rs 799 plant but their is Rs 749 plan in Mumbai, can this be valid for it? Please tell me

I sent DELIGHT sms on, Feb 5th, but double speed never activated, when i called customer care, they registered a complaint. but the final answer was DELIGHT offer expired on Jan 31st for Bangalore customers, so they didnt not activate it.
But my neighbor got another email from Airtel, which said to sms SPEED to 53636. Looks like they changed the offer for Feb
i sms'ed SPEED to 53636, got a replay 2x speed offer will be activated in 7 days.
lets see
Is this plan applicable for the new 499rs 1mbps unlimited plan??
My plan speed was doubled to 512kbps without any extra charges automatically![]()
My plan speed doubled to 512 kbps today without even sending the sms..![]()
I had a talk with the Airtel CC when this plan was launched. He told me that additional Rs. 100 will be charged and the speed will be throttled to 256 kbps once the data transfer crosses 100 GB. It doesn't concern me as my data transfer may not even cross 15 GB.
However, since I never smsed for the plan, I'm hoping that they don't charge the additional Rs.100.
Waiting for the next bill.![]()

May be one day, when I wake up, BSNL will surprise me with 512 Kbps speed![]()
@meetdilip
I too want that, if BSNL converts the limited plans to unlimited plans.............
Just think about Home 500 c, that will become 2 Mbps unlimited only for 550/month with 175 free calls.
Time is ripe for new plans from BSNL. Look, even MTNL has got cheaper rates.![]()
